Viktor Bartók
BACP-accredited psychotherapist with a background in the creative industries, (design, photography).
Before retraining, I spent over 14 years freelancing as a designer across advertising and tech, including work with the BBC and agencies such as Poke, BBH, CHI & Partners, Tag Worldwide, Fingal, LBI, and Small Back Room. This gives me a grounded, first-hand understanding of the pressures, pace, and culture of creative work.
I am especially attuned to the challenges creatives face when work pauses, the difficult conundrum of only feeling as good as your last piece of work, or sometimes ‘who am I?’ particularly during gaps between contracts. The lived experience of this enables me to offer empathetic, relevant support for stress, burnout, uncertainty, and loss of direction.
Alongside private practice, I currently work as an affiliate counsellor within Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs), including Bupa and Wellbeing Solutions Management. My experience spans NHS settings, addiction services, organisational environments, and specialist work within an HIV clinic.
I work in a person-centred, attachment-informed way, with a focus on creating a space that feels steady, non-judgemental, and collaborative. I see clients as the experts in their own experience; my role is to help make sense of what feels stuck, overwhelming, or hard to hold alone.
